Pepe Jeans - Customer Case Study

Pepe Jeans, the iconic denim and casual-wear brand, was selling internationally but suffered from a limited online offer—prices shown only in EUR/GBP/USD, payment limited to major credit cards and PayPal, and recurring technical issues in the international checkout—leading to high bounce rates and untapped cross‑border potential. To address this, Pepe Jeans partnered with Global-e, using Global-e’s AWS‑backed cross‑border ecommerce solution to deliver a more complete, localized international storefront.

Global-e implemented a fully localized shopping experience across 200+ destinations—local pricing (95+ currencies), 150+ payment methods, 20+ languages, duties/taxes prepayment, multiple shipping options (including free express shipping over EUR 150), localized messaging and simplified returns. In eight months Pepe Jeans saw international conversion rates rise 133% YoY and international online revenues increase 111% YoY, with standout gains such as USA revenue +144% / conversion +180%, Japan revenue +125% / conversion +271%, Canada revenue +116% / conversion +161%, Sweden revenue +104% / conversion +74%, a 30% YoY increase in AOV and expansion into more active markets like Australia, India, Russia and Greece.
