Maxim Healthcare Services is a national medical staffing firm with about 300 locations and more than 30,000 employees paid weekly. High workforce turnover and a transient employee base left many workers without direct deposit, forcing Maxim to manage costly paper checks that were subject to delivery delays, loss, and a previously failed bank pilot that made the company reluctant to go paperless.
