Case Study: Cargill achieves paperless payroll and reduces lost checks with Global Cash Card

A Global Cash Card Case Study

Preview of the Cargill Case Study

Cargill - Customer Case Study

Cargill, a global food and agricultural company with 138,000 employees in 63 countries, faced rising costs and employee frustration from lost payroll checks caused by high check volumes and frequently changing addresses. The company set a goal of 100% paperless payroll to eliminate check reissues and improve security.

Cargill piloted a paycard program with Global Cash Card at seven sites using a train-the-trainer rollout, custom enrollment forms, and instant-issue MasterCard cards later upgraded to personalized cards. The program expanded to additional locations, enrolling over 1,700 employees (approaching 2,000), and Cargill is continuing the rollout while planning to add electronic paystubs and W-2 delivery.
