Replacing 40,000 tickets with a single app for Ryder Cup

PGA of America, the largest organization of American golf professionals, needed a faster, more reliable way to manage seat-saving at major championships and events. Their volunteers had been using a pen-and-paper process to track seat holds for tens of thousands of tickets, which was time-consuming and prone to errors.

Using Glide, PGA built the Seat Saver app to replace manual ticket handling with a simple mobile workflow that let volunteers scan tickets, log seat saves, and tell fans when to return. The app was a strong success: it helped manage 7,960 seats across 7 grandstands, saved 22,000 seats during Ryder Cup, required little to no training for volunteers, and gave PGA new data to monitor capacity and improve future events.
