Maricopa Healthy, a Maricopa County health and wellness initiative, wanted to build an app that would help Arizona residents find farmers’ markets, recipes, and ways to stay active. However, the cost of hiring developers and designers was too high, and its outdated app could not be easily updated, slowing the project down. Glide was the vendor behind the app platform used to move the idea forward.

Using Glide, Maricopa Healthy quickly launched a new, easy-to-update customer portal/app and replaced the old App Store version. Glide enabled the team to spin up a working version in just a weekend, then launch it to strong reviews. The app now helps more than four million citizens find over 30 farmers’ markets, browse more than 200 healthy recipes, and locate nearly 700 parks, along with events and community activities.
