GLG worked with a Consumer Goods and Services Company that needed real-time insight into unemployment, consumer spending, and sentiment as COVID-19 and social distancing rapidly changed market conditions. The company wanted to understand the immediate implications for its consumer goods and services holdings and make faster, better-informed investment decisions.
To meet this need, GLG used GLG Surveys to run a 10-wave consumer survey series over three weeks, with 750 responses per wave and updates roughly every 36 hours. GLG’s flexible approach let the client adjust questions as conditions evolved, and the resulting insights helped the client understand changing consumer behavior and confidently make an investment decision before competitors recognized the shift.
