Isle of Man Post Office celebrates 100 years of General Relativity with Glazier Design

The Isle of Man Post Office sought to create a commemorative stamp collection to celebrate 100 years of General Relativity and honor the work of Professor Stephen Hawking. They engaged Glazier Design, an agency with whom they had an existing relationship, to leverage its expertise in graphic design, illustration, and print for this project.

Glazier Design developed a set of six highly detailed stamps featuring portraits of Einstein and Hawking alongside intricate illustrations of their theories, such as gravitational waves and Hawking Radiation. The solution used a cosmic-inspired color palette and incorporated a holographic foil to create an iridescent visual effect. For Glazier Design, this project was a significant career highlight that successfully promoted public understanding of cosmology.
