How VIVE Church is Establishing a Legacy of Generosity by Accepting Crypto Donations Through The Giving Block

VIVE Church, a Palo Alto-based ministry focused on “awakening people to the reality of Jesus,” wanted to expand the ways its community could give after a member first asked to donate stock options. That led the team to consider other non-cash assets, including cryptocurrency, and they turned to The Giving Block to help them start accepting crypto donations.

With The Giving Block’s crypto donation platform, VIVE Church set up a simple process for accepting more than 50 cryptocurrencies, automatically converting all gifts to cash and receiving weekly deposits through an integration with Overflow. The results were significant: in a campaign to buy an 80,000-square-foot building, VIVE Church expected about $10,000 in crypto donations but received $300,000, including several gifts above $50,000, helping them close a major funding gap and secure the property.
