Clas Ohlson, a retailer of DIY supplies and home products with more than 178 stores across Sweden, Norway, the UK, and Finland, needed a new gift card provider to support a multinational program. The company had to transition more than 174,000 existing cards without reissuing or invalidating them, while also supporting multiple card types and different currencies. Givex Corporation was selected to power the program.

Givex Corporation imported all active card numbers, balances, and expiry dates from the previous provider and added features such as cross-currency redemption, card grouping, and Dynamic Currency Conversion across all four countries. It also supported four card types, bulk activation for a 40,000-card B2B program, and Swedish language support. Clas Ohlson launched the program in Sweden in 2012 and rolled it out to the UK, Finland, and Norway in 2012 and 2013, with a seamless transition for all 174,000 cardholders and improved reporting, more accurate e-card tracking, and higher customer satisfaction.
