A GiveSmart Case Study
The United Way of Central Maryland, a Baltimore-region nonprofit, sought to digitize its fundraising for the Annual Harvest of Plenty event to more easily connect with supporters and track donations. Their challenge was to meet a significant campaign goal of providing over 4,000 Thanksgiving meals to families in need.
Partnering with GiveSmart, the organization implemented online forms, text-to-give technology, and crowdfunding pages. This solution included a real-time donation thermometer for live tracking. The campaign was very successful, raising over $150,000 from 403 donors, which directly resulted in the delivery of more than 4,000 meals to underserved families.
