American Leadership Forum - Customer Case Study

The American Leadership Forum (ALF) Houston/Gulf Coast chapter faced the challenge of moving its annual Joseph Jaworski Leadership Award Celebration dinner to a virtual format due to COVID-19 restrictions. With limited time, Vice President Kym King needed a solution to host the event and continue fundraising. The organization turned to GiveSmart for its event and peer-to-peer fundraising platform.

With GiveSmart, ALF created an event page that served as a microsite for the virtual celebration, which included registration, donations, and a new peer-to-peer fundraising element. The GiveSmart solution enabled ALF to host over 1,400 virtual attendees, far exceeding the 400-person capacity of their usual venue. The event was a major success, surpassing its $300,000 goal to raise $304,711, with $132,198 coming directly from peer-to-peer fundraising.
