100 Black Men of DeKalb County Inc. partnered with GiveSmart to find better ways to engage donors for its flagship Leadership Academy program and annual Scholarship Gala. The organization wanted to reach fundraising goals more effectively and connect more deeply with support already present in its community.

GiveSmart implemented digital and mobile capabilities, along with planning support through weekly internal committee meetings and a live event thermometer that highlighted donor names in real time. The effort helped 100 Black Men of DeKalb County raise $23,353 from 113 donors, with an average gift size of $238, while improving reach and engagement for the event and supporting the organization’s mission.
