Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA), Scotland’s only charity air ambulance, wanted to grow its Facebook fundraising efforts beyond the organic success it had already seen. Working with GivePanel, the charity used a Facebook Challenge approach for its “100 Miles in October” campaign to connect with supporters, build a community, and expand its acquisition activity.
GivePanel helped SCAA run the challenge with a funnel that included Facebook ads, a lead form, an email journey, a Facebook Group, and fundraising/registration tools. The campaign raised just over £74,000, delivered a 10:1 ROI, achieved a £3.62 cost per lead and £19.30 cost per active fundraiser, and brought in 900 group members; notably, 92% of the 700 t-shirt registrants were new to the charity.
