How Pancreatic Cancer UK found repeat success with a Facebook Challenge model

Pancreatic Cancer UK worked with GivePanel to repeat its successful Facebook Challenge format, “Jog 28 Miles in February,” after a strong 2021 campaign. Looking to engage supporters again and grow fundraising through a virtual event, the charity used GivePanel’s platform and Managed Services support to manage registrations, communications, and fundraiser stewardship.

With GivePanel’s help, Pancreatic Cancer UK introduced SMS messaging, added target-based incentives, and improved group engagement through consistent updates and stewardship. The 2022 challenge generated 4,004 Facebook leads, 720 fundraisers, 2,125 group members, and £229,213 in Facebook income, with an average raised per fundraiser of £318 and over 1,500 supporter contact details captured.
