Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, Australia’s leading voice for brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness, needed a new way to fundraise after relying mainly on in-person events and then facing disruption from COVID-19. Working with GivePanel, the charity explored Facebook Challenges for the first time, using a Facebook-based fundraising funnel to build community engagement and create a new digital revenue stream.
GivePanel helped Cure Brain Cancer Foundation launch its “1500 Burpees in November” challenge using Facebook ads, lead forms, groups, fundraisers, and a registration form for incentives. The campaign attracted over 2,000 group members and 1,100 participants, delivered a $2 cost per lead and $40 cost per active fundraiser, and raised just over AU$252,000 in total with an ROI of 11:1.
