A GitLab Case Study
Iron Mountain, a global leader in storage, data center infrastructure, asset lifecycle management, and information management, wanted to better support its scaled Agile and DevOps efforts while reducing the complexity of fragmented tooling, administrative overhead, and late-stage security issues. The company was looking for a cloud-based integration platform to improve collaboration between development and operations, strengthen security earlier in the cycle, and support its growing Kubernetes and multi-cloud environment. GitLab Ultimate SaaS was chosen to help meet these needs.
With GitLab Ultimate on Google Cloud, Iron Mountain streamlined CI/CD, automated 240 cloud deployments on GKE, and added security scanning with DAST and SAST to shift security left. GitLab reduced on-premises VMs by nearly half and delivered more than $60,000 in annual maintenance savings plus more than $90,000 in yearly labor savings. GitLab also improved visibility, governance, and productivity by giving teams a single platform to manage strategic initiatives and focus on higher-value development work.
