How UBS created their own DevOps platform using GitLab

UBS, the largest global wealth manager, needed a way to create a seamless, cloud-based DevOps experience that could connect coding, testing, and deployment across teams worldwide. UBS turned to GitLab and its DevOps Platform to build DevCloud, a single platform designed to support collaboration for both engineers and non-engineering stakeholders.

With GitLab, UBS launched DevCloud and successfully used it during a virtual hackathon, proving it could support global teamwork at scale. In about six months, the platform reached more than 12,000 users and powered over one million successful builds, while also helping UBS increase development velocity, lower infrastructure costs, and improve collaboration across the organization.
