How GitLab CI/CD supports and accelerates innovation for Anchormen

Anchormen, a Netherlands-based data engineering and AI consultancy, needed a more professional, collaborative workflow after moving away from Jenkins to better support short client projects and complex integrations. To solve this, Anchormen adopted GitLab (GitLab Starter) to enable merge-request-driven development, client collaboration, and integrations with AWS, Azure, Jira and SonarQube.

GitLab implemented an integrated CI/CD platform—using .gitlab-ci.yml pipelines, Dockerized runners, LDAP, CloudFormation-driven deployments and the listed tool integrations—so Anchormen could automate builds, tests and deployments. As a result, GitLab helped Anchormen cut deployment time by 85% (from ~20 to 3 minutes), consolidate 84 software projects, scale the team roughly 3.5x, and boost collaboration, operational efficiency and delivery quality.
