Case Study: Glispa achieves a 3-month Kubernetes migration and streamlined DevOps with GitLab

A GitLab Case Study

Preview of the Glispa Case Study

Glispa successfully migrated to Kubernetes in 3 months with GitLab

Glispa, a Berlin-based mobile advertising company, needed to move off a pieced-together DC/OS orchestration to Kubernetes to reduce pipeline headaches and embrace DevOps practices. The team chose GitLab Premium for its built-in version control and native Kubernetes, Docker and Jira integrations to provide a single, manageable DevOps workflow.

With GitLab, Glispa completed the Kubernetes migration in about three months, centralized CI/CD and permissions, and automated deployments — enabling up to three deploys per day, supporting 846 projects with 20 runners (about 1,000 jobs per runner) and achieving a reported 30% cost saving versus AWS. GitLab’s CI templates, user sync and end-to-end visibility simplified operations, sped up pipelines, and delivered more reliable, scalable workflows.
