Case Study: CACI achieves faster, more secure software delivery with GitLab

A GitLab Case Study

Preview of the CACI Case Study

CACI uses GitLab to boost tech delivery for public sector customers

CACI, a $7.7 billion public sector technology company, needed to modernize its software development and deployment approach across a growing number of teams and acquisitions. Its existing mix of DevSecOps toolchains was cumbersome, expensive, and inconsistent, making it harder to scale delivery while maintaining the security and compliance required for U.S. government work. To address this, CACI turned to GitLab Ultimate.

GitLab provided CACI with a centralized AI-powered DevSecOps platform and a Common Software Development Environment (CSDE) on AWS GovCloud, helping standardize tools, improve collaboration, and shift security earlier in the lifecycle. The results included 90% savings in labor and administrative work for toolchain management, patch creation time reduced from hours to minutes, and security scanning accelerated by 13x. CACI also grew from 110 to more than 1,900 CSDE users in a little over a year, while reducing costs and increasing delivery speed and security.
