With 12,000 developers using GitHub Copilot, Accenture doubles down on GitHub’s platform

Accenture, a global professional services firm supporting more than 9,000 clients in 120 countries, needed to help its developers work faster, improve code quality, and keep up with growing technical debt. To address this, Accenture turned to GitHub Copilot Business and GitHub’s broader platform to boost developer productivity and satisfaction at enterprise scale.

GitHub worked with Accenture on a randomized controlled trial and then a wider rollout of Copilot, which led to more successful builds, more pull requests per week, and faster delivery of software updates. Accenture also used GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security to streamline collaboration, automate admin tasks, and secure code; 95% of developers reported enjoying coding more with Copilot, and the company has since expanded Copilot to thousands of developers.
