TomTom guides developers to productivity with GitHub

TomTom, the mapping and location technology company with 2,000+ developers, was struggling with a fragmented development landscape made up of multiple repositories, CI/CD tools, issue trackers, and artifact systems. That complexity caused constant context switching, slowed onboarding, and kept developers focused on managing tools instead of writing code. TomTom standardized on GitHub Enterprise Cloud to streamline its workflows and reduce fragmentation.

With GitHub, TomTom moved about 70% of its CI/CD workflows to GitHub Actions and adopted GitHub Copilot to speed up coding, documentation, and refactoring. The results were significant: GitHub Actions helped cut queue length in half, reduced average build time by nearly 25%, and lowered infrastructure spending. TomTom also reported that 85% of engineers felt more productive with GitHub Copilot, while 70% said it helped them focus on more satisfying work.
