Nutanix, the San Jose-based enterprise infrastructure company, needed a more agile way to support developers across acquisitions, cloud projects, and legacy systems. After teams joining Nutanix were repeatedly forced off GitHub into older tools like Gerrit and Jenkins, the company turned to GitHub Enterprise to reduce friction and give developers a more modern workflow.

Using GitHub Enterprise, Nutanix centralized repositories, improved governance, and integrated automation through its in-house Canaveral platform and CircleCI. The result was major productivity gains: developers on GitHub became twice as productive and deployed two to three times more than those still using Gerrit, while automation also saved weeks of manual work, sped up security fixes, and improved uptime and compliance.
