REA Group, one of Australia’s largest web operations in property advertising, needed a scalable version control system as its development team and software footprint grew rapidly. As the company shifted from centralized workflows to distributed, agile teams, REA Group turned to GitHub Enterprise to support code review, autonomy, and easier developer access management.

GitHub helped REA Group standardize development with a familiar platform, integrate tools like Okta, LDAP, Jenkins, Travis, and Slack, and support its move to more elastic infrastructure on AWS. The result was a smoother transition to collaborative workflows that already fit how developers worked, making hiring easier and enabling broader technical and organizational change; REA Group said the switch “worked really well” and that they were “super happy” with GitHub.
