Raiffeisen Bank International delivers better, more secure customer experiences with GitHub

Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) was expanding its digital banking services but faced rising competition from digital-first banks and fintechs. To stay competitive, RBI needed to centralize DevOps work, improve security visibility, and reduce duplicate development across markets. It chose GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Advanced Security to give teams a secure, scalable platform for code management and development.

With GitHub, RBI standardized workflows, shifted security left, and enabled code reuse and automation through GitHub Actions. The results included scanning 5,022 secrets in repositories, blocking secrets with Push Protection, and helping some teams fix security issues up to a year faster than others. GitHub also improved collaboration across 13 markets, saved developers time, and boosted developer happiness and adoption of inner source practices.
