LinkedIn boosts usability and developer satisfaction with GitHub

LinkedIn, the professional networking platform used by more than 756 million people, needed better collaboration tools and a modernized developer experience for thousands of engineers. After evaluating options, LinkedIn chose GitHub Enterprise for its usability, extensibility, and security, replacing its self-hosted Git and Subversion repositories.

GitHub helped LinkedIn streamline development by consolidating pull request workflows, improving CI/testing integration, and adding security scanning with GitHub Advanced Security and CodeQL. The results were strong: LinkedIn now has more than 2,900 developers using GitHub Enterprise, early-adopter satisfaction reached 4.8/5 versus 3.4 before, and work that once took a quarter can now be done in two days.
