Caregility, a virtual healthcare platform connecting patients and clinicians, was struggling with a complex CI/CD setup, fragmented tools, and access-control and security challenges as it scaled. The company turned to GitHub, including GitHub Advanced Security, to consolidate its development workflow, standardize version control, and better protect its patient- and clinician-facing platform.

With GitHub, Caregility centralized repositories, access controls, and CI/CD pipelines, while using GitHub Actions, SSO, Secret Scanning, Code Scanning, and Dependabot to shift security earlier in development. The results included faster onboarding, stronger collaboration, and improved security; notably, Caregility fixed over 350 vulnerable dependencies with Dependabot and now remediates issues earlier in the coding process.
