GitHub Actions turbocharges deployments at Blue Yonder

Blue Yonder, a Scottsdale-based supply chain software company, needed to modernize its code supply chain and reduce the operational burden of managing servers and CI/CD infrastructure. In 2020, it moved from self-hosted Bitbucket to cloud-hosted GitHub Enterprise, with GitHub Actions and GitHub CodeQL becoming key tools in its development workflow.

GitHub helped Blue Yonder automate deployments, eliminate CI/CD capacity bottlenecks, and improve security scanning and code quality. With GitHub, deployment time dropped from a full day to about 30 minutes, release frequency increased from around 10 deploys a week to about 100, and new developers could start shipping code in as little as 36 hours instead of up to two weeks.
