Fast-growing Deliveroo relies on GitHub to build infrastructure, lower overhead, and scale efficiently

Deliveroo, the fast-growing food delivery platform operating across Europe and Asia Pacific, needed a simple way to scale its engineering operations without adding infrastructure and administrative burden. Since 2017, it has used GitHub Enterprise Cloud to support collaboration across 50 engineering teams, streamline onboarding, and manage code for its 1,000 repositories while serving customers, riders, and restaurants efficiently.

GitHub helped Deliveroo reduce overhead by eliminating the need to run its own GitHub infrastructure and by providing built-in security features like single sign-on, protected branches, and vulnerability scanning. With GitHub APIs and webhooks, Deliveroo also automated reviews, deployments, documentation, and infrastructure workflows, improving coordination across time zones and lowering operational load; the result was faster development, easier collaboration, and more time focused on shipping software.
