EY combines GitHub and Microsoft Azure DevOps to keep developers on the cutting edge

EY, one of the world’s largest professional services organizations, wanted to stay on the cutting edge of technology while improving developer productivity and security. To do that, EY integrated Microsoft Azure DevOps with GitHub, migrating repositories to GitHub Enterprise and adopting tools like GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Copilot, and GitHub Codespaces.

GitHub helped EY shift security left, streamline workflows, and speed onboarding with instantly ready environments. In a pilot, about 150 developers using GitHub Copilot committed 1.2 million lines of AI-generated code within weeks, and EY has since rolled Copilot out to 2,000 developers. GitHub also reduced administrative overhead through automation and improved collaboration across teams.
