CyberAgent - Customer Case Study

CyberAgent, a Tokyo-based leader in smartphone community and gaming with 1,000+ employees, struggled with sharing and reviewing source across dozens of web and game projects. Teams relied on ad-hoc methods—compressed email attachments, file shares, IDE-based reviews, and per-project Review Board servers—making cross-project collaboration and tooling consistency difficult. Junko Okuda led the search for a unified approach after engineers repeatedly asked to use Git.

CyberAgent adopted GitHub Enterprise, consolidating more than 700 projects under a single hierarchy and extending use to designers who use image diffing for asset reviews. The platform integrated with Jenkins for CI, JIRA for issue tracking, and HipChat for notifications, improving security and account management while streamlining code review and collaboration—resulting in higher productivity, better product quality, and a more connected engineering culture.
