Cruise, the GM subsidiary building a fully autonomous Chevy Bolt, needed a better way to control access to code and speed up development without adding friction. GitHub helped Cruise move to GitHub Enterprise, paired with CircleCI Enterprise, so code stayed behind their firewall and builds could run faster and more reliably. With GitHub, Cruise improved collaboration and onboarding, while CircleCI on AWS GPU instances let them run more simulations and tests across multiple containers; the result was faster development with greater confidence in safety and quality, and day-one productivity for new engineers.
