GitHub helped Coinbase centralize security controls, application code, and internal policies in a version-controlled system with pull requests, protected branches, and merge controls. The result was faster decision-making and stronger collaboration: a fraud analyst was able to propose a risk-control change that was reviewed and pushed to production within an hour, and even interns could help suggest production updates.
