Hamburg Port Authority Bringing Asset Survey Data in One Place Saves Time and Effort in Port Maintenance

Port of Hamburg, Germany’s largest seaport, needed a better way to share and use 3D survey data across its many departments for asset management and maintenance planning. The port’s hydrographic and asset teams were collecting detailed seabed, quay wall, and structure scans, but much of the information was difficult to access and use beyond static 2D reports.

GISGRO provided an online platform to upload, visualize, and analyze HPA’s multibeam, laser scan, orthoimage, and 3D reference model data in a shared cloud environment. This gave teams anywhere access to detailed 3D asset information, improved cross-departmental collaboration, and supported predictive maintenance by making it easier to track damage over time and use survey data in daily operations, repair work, and construction projects.
