Case Study: Chegg achieves on-demand, stigma-free mental healthcare and high employee engagement with Ginger

A Ginger Case Study

Preview of the Chegg Case Study

Chegg - Customer Case Study

Chegg, an education and technology company with 949 employees, faced rising mental health crises among a predominantly young workforce and very low utilization of its existing EAP. To offer immediate, stigma-free support, Chegg evaluated and selected Ginger’s on-demand mental health system, including its app-based behavioral health coaching and access to teletherapy/telepsychiatry.

Ginger implemented on-site outreach (postcards and download codes) and a virtual care model that connects employees to coaches within seconds and to therapists/psychiatrists within days. The program reached 21.4% of Chegg’s workforce as Ginger members, with about 65% of those members actively engaging and an average satisfaction rating of 4.9; usage has continued to grow through ongoing communications and expansion to employees from Chegg’s Thinkful acquisition.
