Hospitality Company Decommissions Legacy System to Reduce Costs and Improve User Experience

Stonebridge Companies, a national hospitality owner and manager with 63 hotels and 10,000+ rooms, needed to consolidate ECM platforms and move more than a decade of content off their on‑premises OpenText Content Server to the cloud to reduce costs and improve employee user experience. They selected Gimmal and its Gimmal Migrate solution to extract and preserve critical documents, versions, metadata, permissions and legacy links during the move to SharePoint.

Gimmal performed a fit‑gap analysis, used the Gimmal Content Server Discovery and Analytics Tool, MAPIT (Gimmal Migrate API Tool) and Link Redirector, configured SharePoint site collections and content types, and migrated content via Azure with validation logs and permission reapplication. As a result, Gimmal completed the migration on time and on budget, enabling Stonebridge to decommission OpenText, realize licensing and support cost savings, preserve full document fidelity, improve mobile access and single‑sign‑on/MFA, and boost collaboration through Microsoft 365 and Teams.
