Fortune 500 Insurance Company Improves Information Management

Fortune 500 Insurance Company, recognized by Fortune as one of the “World’s Most Admired” insurers, needed a permanent, centralized solution to enforce retention schedules and manage growing on- and offsite records across many departments. After evaluating options, they selected Gimmal and its Gimmal Physical product to address complex records scheduling, classification, and offsite storage needs.

Gimmal configured Gimmal Physical to support 3,000+ department- and document-specific retention schedules across 300 departments and to track about 170,000 boxes, translating everyday business practices into an intuitive file plan (11 main processes, 60 subprocesses). Gimmal also built an integration with Andrews Software and implemented a dual-barcode system to enable a seamless move to offsite vendor C.H Coakley, allowing the client to manage the entire records lifecycle from the Gimmal Physical interface with no disruption.
