Unibail-Rodamco Creates a Connected, Personalized Shopping Experience with SAP® Customer Data Cloud

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE, Europe’s largest commercial real estate company, wanted to turn anonymous mall visitors into known customers so it could deliver more personalized shopping experiences across its properties. To do that, it worked with Gigya and SAP Customer Data Cloud, using SAP Customer Identity and Customer Profile to make identity central to the experience across mall sites and mobile apps.

Gigya helped Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE implement a two-click registration and social login approach, while centralizing shopper data for personalization, loyalty, and location-based services. The results included a 26% increase in registration rates, 76% of new registrants using social login, a 35x rise in mobile registrations, and a 92% growth in loyalty card subscriptions, with the solution already deployed across 20 apps and shopping centers and planned for expansion to 60+ more properties.
