Softonic, the Barcelona-based software download site, needed a better way to register users and collect more than basic data as it aimed to increase engagement and understand its millions of visitors. The company also needed a scalable customer data management solution, and Gigya’s SAP Customer Data Cloud was selected to handle its growing user base.
Gigya implemented SAP Customer Data Cloud across Softonic’s sites in 60 countries and 12 languages, imported 20 million users into SAP Customer Profile, and enabled social login and personalized registration flows. The result was a single source of truth for user data, a 42% higher download rate for registered users versus nonregistered users, and a 22% increase in value per user.
