Gigamon helps service providers regain control of mobile networks by delivering an intelligent Visibility Fabric. Mobile operators with millions of subscribers were seeing non-revenue-generating, bandwidth-heavy traffic (like OTT video) clog the mobile core, but placing costly analysis tools inline at every edge was prohibitively expensive, risking degraded quality for premium services.

Gigamon solved this by deploying compact GigaVUE-TA1 visibility nodes at the edge to tap, filter and aggregate traffic, then forward and load-balance relevant flows to a centralized tool farm or to peering networks. The result: lower-priority traffic is kept out of the core, tools are more efficient (offloading CPU-intensive filtering), the life of the core and costly tools is extended, and operators can protect QoS while avoiding unnecessary network overbuild.
