That upgrade revealed a gap in monitoring: SaskTel needed a high-density TAP and aggregation solution able to capture 10Gb traffic, provide end-to-end visibility, and feed multiple lower-speed security and performance tools.

SaskTel deployed Gigamon’s Traffic Visibility Fabric using GigaVUE‑HD8 and GigaVUE‑420 nodes to aggregate, filter, replicate and stack traffic flows and to apply Flow Mapping so each tool sees only relevant data. The deployment delivered real-time, end-to-end visibility, faster troubleshooting, extended the life and ROI of 1Gb tools, supported PCI/security monitoring, and improved overall service reliability and customer satisfaction.
