Gamma, a leading UK network carrier and one of the country’s largest voice traffic providers, faced rising public media and customer traffic that began to oversubscribe its monitoring tools. Relying on port mirroring was no longer efficient for troubleshooting or ensuring consistent network performance and customer satisfaction.

Gamma deployed Gigamon GigaVUE-420 Traffic Visibility Fabric nodes to aggregate, filter and replicate traffic to centralized monitoring tools (including Wireshark). The solution delivered pervasive, end-to-end visibility, sped troubleshooting, reduced costs by extending the life of existing tools, and allowed easy, non-disruptive addition and side-by-side testing of new monitoring and security appliances.
