Amica Insurance, the oldest mutual auto insurer in the U.S. with leading customer satisfaction ratings, needed to record VoIP calls from over 1,000 support agents for training and quality purposes. Their existing call monitoring and recording server had only a single link to the storage archive, preventing replication and distribution of recordings across multiple storage servers and limiting scalability.
Amica implemented the Gigamon GigaVUE Traffic Visibility Node to attach to that single link, replicate and filter VoIP traffic, and load‑divide it to the appropriate call recording storage archives. The solution avoided additional recording-server purchases, improved traffic filtering and analysis, centralized call traffic for easier management, and provided a scalable way to add storage or monitoring servers while deferring capital expenditures.
