First National Bank (FNB), one of South Africa's largest banks, faced significant challenges in managing the complex and time-consuming process of producing compliant home loan documents. Their system relied on four different accredited software vendors, including GhostDraft's GhostConvey, which required extensive validation for each document variation and resulted in cumbersome, inflexible templates that were difficult to update.

GhostDraft's solution involved consolidating all loan documents onto its platform, creating a single, rules-based template library. This was followed by implementing a cloud-based composition service hosted by GhostDraft, which removed the ability for external attorneys to alter documents and returned control to the bank. The results were transformative: FNB reduced its template library from many versions to 91 master templates capable of producing 56 variations each, drastically cut document change implementation time from weeks to just over two hours, and ensured full compliance and standardization across all customer communications.
