Windsor Health Plan, Inc, a healthcare organization, needed a more secure and compliant way to exchange patient records and other confidential documents under HIPAA, while also reducing reliance on shared physical fax machines and moving closer to a paperless office. It turned to GFI Software’s GFI FaxMaker to modernize faxing through its existing IT and email infrastructure.

GFI Software implemented GFI FaxMaker so Windsor could route faxes directly to Microsoft Exchange mailboxes, assign departmental DIDs, and securely log inbound and outbound traffic. The result was faster, more confidential document handling, easier scalability, and lower operating costs, with Windsor processing about 920 inbound and 720 outbound faxes per day while saving time, paper, toner, and maintenance.
