Olentangy Local School District Turns to Exinda to Deliver Consistent Online Testing Experience

Olentangy Local School District, the largest district in Delaware County, Ohio, needed to support rapid growth, a BYOD network with thousands of connected devices, and the move to online standardized testing while keeping learning applications reliable. The district turned to GFI Software’s Exinda to help prioritize testing traffic, control bandwidth usage, and improve visibility across its 24 schools.

GFI Software deployed an Exinda 8762 appliance with policies that gave testing applications priority and limited bandwidth-heavy activities like streaming media, software updates, and gaming. The district gained real-time visibility into network use, deeper reporting, and the ability to identify users and devices causing issues, helping it deliver a consistent online experience for more than 22,000 users on a 500 Mbps connection and make better use of taxpayer-funded bandwidth.
