GEVME, a one-stop event management and marketing software provider, was engaged to handle registration and badge distribution for the inaugural Singapore FinTech Festival 2016 — a large-scale international event organized by MAS and ABS. The primary challenge was ensuring fast, reliable attendee check-in despite software, hardware and internet constraints; long waits risked attendees missing time‑sensitive programmes and damaging the event experience.
GEVME addressed this with rigorous setup testing, a dedicated internet link, lean onsite staffing, and flexible hardware/software (GEVME Access mobile app, QR codes, RFID scanners, manual helpdesks) arranged in an island counter layout. The solution scaled to meet demand: 4,046 check‑ins on day one, 1,692 attendees processed in a 1 hr 46 min peak, and 9,756 total for the festival, while plans to automate walk‑in payments aim to further streamline future events.
