UMass Memorial Health more than doubles SDOH screening in 30 days with GetWellNetwork

UMass Memorial Health, a not-for-profit health system in Massachusetts, sought to increase the volume of patients screened for social determinants of health (SDOH) while reducing the burden on their staff. To meet this challenge, they partnered with GetWellNetwork and implemented its Health Equity: Social Determinants of Health Program.

By leveraging GetWellNetwork's mobile-first screening tool and navigators, UMass Memorial more than doubled its all-time record for screenings in 30 days. The solution enabled them to share over 5,000 community resources with patients, screen 2,000 patients in languages other than English, and automatically document social needs into the EHR, significantly improving efficiency and patient trust.
