Group4Securicor (G4S), the world’s largest security company, needed a flexible and highly secure workspace for 1,300 employees to work anywhere using thin clients and mobile devices, while keeping critical applications like G4S Security and G4S Cash always available. G4S turned to Getronics’ Workspace as a Service (WaaS) to meet these security, mobility, and business continuity requirements.

Getronics implemented a full WaaS solution with self-service provisioning, web access from any device, hosting for business applications such as Axapta and Dynamics, and dual data centre support for continuity. The result was a fixed-cost, pay-per-user model with real-time billing that helped G4S control IT spend, improve flexibility and scalability, and protect operations with secure data centres and separated domains for key business units.
