Unipart Automotive, the UK’s largest independent supplier of car parts and workshop consumables, needed a new IT strategy after a major ownership change. Its ageing, complex, and costly IT estate had to be replaced with a flexible, future-proof platform that could support growth while targeting a 20% reduction in annual IT spend. Getronics was chosen to help deliver that transformation.

Getronics implemented Workspace as a Service for 2,000 users across 170 UK sites, migrated four data centres to the Getronics cloud, replaced legacy desktops with thin clients, and backed the environment with its Service Desk. The result was a standardised, centrally managed platform that improved agility and customer service, with initial savings of around £1 million already on track to meet the 20% target.
